Applicants to Wilmington University's Doctor of Nursing Practice program must have an MSN with a focus in one of the following: Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, or Clinical Nurse Specialist. Cohorts that begin in the spring semester (January) follow a program that is delivered completely online, while cohorts that begin in the fall semester (September) follow a program that has a hybrid delivery format. Students accepted to the 100 percent online program only have to come to campus for the final presentation of their DNP project at the end of the program. The curriculum includes courses such as: Bioethics for Advanced Practice Nursing, Prevention and Population Health, and Politics and Policy in the Health Care System.
